Jordan Customs

Datastar International Ltd.
was awarded the Jordan Customs Electronic Transit Tracking and Facilitation Project (ETTFS) where major companies has participated to the bid. Datastar’s solution has proved to be efficient and effective where top of the line wireless technology deliver security enhancements and process improvement on the in-transit system of Jordan Customs. ETTFS is the first in-transit automation system in the region providing visibility of all transit truck throughout the country’s entry/exit ports. The project has a total volume of 4,000 tracking device with embedded wireless e-locks. The infrastructure supports 14(?) ports all over Jordan.

Ministry of Hajj

The Kingdom has been continuously improving the Hajj pilgrimage to ensure safety and security of those who are performing the Hajj. Different government sectors contribute to the initiative and selecting technologies to help and support the objective. Datastar was one of the companies who delivered Pilgrim Bus Monitoring solution where 4500 tags are deployed and 50+ readers installed on the access roads going to and from Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah and vice-versa. The data is processed for contractual verification but moreover, providing better services to the Pilgrims.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry is pro-actively enhancing the building management system in which part of it is the monitoring of visitor where they are going, in and out of the building and identify the number of people still in the building. Datastar has provided an RFID solution to deliver the requirements thru the use of active tag where visitor. Throughout the building, access zones are monitored and tags present on the area are identified thru the LAN infrastructure of the building. The initial deployment delivered 1,500 active tags and almost 100 zone areas. With the RFID infrastructure in place, expanding the project to include the employees will result into efficiency and effectiveness of the technology.

Aramco NAPD Unmanned Gate Monitoring System

Northern Area Pipeline Department (NAPD) has initiated monitoring access to their warehouse who is going in and out, including its subcontractor. Datastar deployed Gate Access Control and Monitoring to the unmanned gates of NAPD where entry and exit on that gate is monitored. Car and vehicle information are collected and sent to NAPD Control room where all monitoring activities are happening...

Aramco NAPD Scraper Detection System

Northern Area Pipeline Department (NAPD) is responsible for the maintenance of the pipelines from Dhahran Bulk Plant going to the North side of the Kingdom. Scrapping is one of the activities that are performed regularly on the pipes. Datastar has provided a scraper detection using Globalwave and state of the art sensors to provide passage detection as scraping activities are perform. Embedded in the solution are expected times of passage per detection area and expected time of arrival of the scrapping device to the receiving end. During the actual scrapping activity, the progress status is shown in the application thus providing better visibility on the activity and improving work process in the field saving time and resources.
